Mustang District Roundtable

roundtableRoundtable is a district monthly meeting typically held the second Thursday of the month (except for June and July) at 7:00 pm to help unit leaders plan and carry out their own program. Roundtable is a form of supplemental training for volunteers. The objective of roundtable is to give leaders program ideas, information on upcoming events and trainings, and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. As a result of the roundtable experience, unit leaders will be inspired, motivated, informed, and able to provide a stronger program for their Scouts. Follow the district Facebook page at facebook.com/MustangDistrictSHAC.

Trail to Troop

February 20-22, 2026

Webelos Woods

Trail to Troop is a special outdoor adventure for Webelos Scouts (4th and 5th graders), featuring the many outdoor adventures of Scouting, including archery, BB-gun shooting, hiking, knots, and first aid. A campfire program and Arrow of Light ceremony is held on Saturday evening.

Early-bird fee: RSVP, pay the deposit, and provide estimated registration numbers by December roundtable to receive a special early-bird registration fee.

Camporee

April 10-12, 2026

CamporeeCamporee is a weekend campout for troops around the district. Scouts in patrols compete in various competitions and are judged on leadership, teamwork, skill demonstration and Scout spirit.  

Early-bird fee: RSVP, pay the deposit, and provide estimated registration numbers by 1/9/25 to receive a special early-bird registration fee.

Winter camp is a wonderful opportunity for troops and individual Scouts to camp and earn merit badges and participate in fun evening programs and activities. There are over 80 merit badge classes taught by Scouters with real-life experiences in the field.

Key Leader Conference

Key Leader Conference

January 10, 2026

Key Leader's Conference is an annual meeting and orientation for all district committee members and commissioners. The training covers the basics of district operations and the district's role in supporting units and delivering the Scouting program. Participants will then have an opportunity to meet and interact with other district leaders during the committee breakout sessions.

University of Scouting is a semi-annual supplemental training program. Sessions are led by experienced volunteers who will help leaders and parents enhance their ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to the Scouts.

Full Throttle

Full Throttle

February 6-8, 2026

Full Throttle is a weekend event for Scouts in troops, crews, ships, and individual Scouts. Scouts participate in a program area such as range and target activities and climbing, participate in the first aid meet, and spend a half-day working on a merit badge.

The council First Aid Meet is being held during Full Throttle. This event challenges Scouts to perform first aid in simulated real-life situations. Teams compete in practical first-aid problems, demonstrating hands-on skills.
