Flaming Arrow District Roundtable

January 15, 2026 |  7:00 pm

roundtableRoundtable is a district monthly meeting typically held the second Thursday of the month (except July) at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood 77339) at 7:00 pm to help unit leaders plan and carry out their own program. Roundtable is a form of supplemental training for volunteers. The objective of roundtable is to give leaders program ideas, information on upcoming events and trainings, and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. As a result of the roundtable experience, unit leaders will be inspired, motivated, informed, and able to provide a stronger program for their Scouts. MLK Camp

January 17-19, 2026

MLK CampMLK Camp is a condensed version of traditional camp, held over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend for Scouts in troops. The program provides Scouts with the opportunity to earn merit badges and rank advancement along their Scouting journey. Activities include range and target activities (rifle, shotgun, archery), climbing, rappelling, merit badge classes, and more.

Webelos WoodsThis is a weekend campout designed to introduce Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts to the many outdoor adventures of Scouting. 

Learn more about the transition to Scouts BSA and information to help assist Arrow of Light Scouts as they make the important decision on which troop to join and questions to ask troops.

Camporee

May 1-3, 2026

CamporeeCamporee is a weekend campout for troops.  Patrols compete in various competitions and are judged on leadership, teamwork, skill demonstration, and Scout spirit. 

Early-bird fee: RSVP, pay the deposit, and provide estimated registration numbers by 2/12/25 to receive a special early-bird registration fee.

Key Leader Conference

Key Leader's Conference is an annual meeting and orientation for all district committee members and commissioners. The training covers the basics of district operations and the district's role in supporting units and delivering the Scouting program. Participants will then have an opportunity to meet and interact with other district leaders during the committee breakout sessions.

University of Scouting is a semi-annual supplemental training program. Sessions are led by experienced volunteers who will help leaders and parents enhance their ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to the Scouts.

Full Throttle

Full Throttle

February 6-8, 2026

Full Throttle is a weekend event for Scouts in troops, crews, ships, and individual Scouts. Scouts participate in a program area such as range and target activities and climbing, participate in the first aid meet, and spend a half-day working on a merit badge.

The council First Aid Meet is being held during Full Throttle. This event challenges Scouts to perform first aid in simulated real-life situations. Teams compete in practical first-aid problems, demonstrating hands-on skills.
