Cub Scout Day Camp

Get ready to travel back in time for an unforgettable adventure! This year’s camp is going prehistoric with a dinosaur theme. From archery and BBs to science experiments and nature hikes, every activity is packed with excitement. Our dino-sized adventures are designed to challenge Cub Scouts, spark curiosity, and keep them moving all day long. Don’t miss the chance to explore the world of the dinosaurs while earning achievements, making memories, and having a blast with your pack.

Day camp is a council camp hosted by districts for Cub Scouts entering 1^st through 5^th grade next school year. No matter which camp is chosen, it will be loaded with an awesome program such as BB guns, archery, sports, games, crafts, rank advancements, Scout skills, fun, and more. Most camps welcome siblings (ages 3+) and Scouts in troops, crews, and ships, so make this an excellent summer for the entire family. 

Participants receive a t-shirt and a patch. Advancements offered at day camp supplement the exciting program offered at resident camp. With many different camps to choose from, registered Scouts and their families can find one that fits their busy schedules. Volunteers run camps. 

The campership program seeks to increase the number of Scouts enjoying outdoor experiences at Sam Houston Area Council camps and programs by providing financial assistance. To be eligible, a family must complete an application form before registering.

Registration: The registration fee includes a patch, t-shirt, and program supplies. Registration closes two weeks before the first day of camp.
