The purpose of the Sam Houston Area Council Annual Sports Breakfast is to present a report to the community about the state of Scouting in the Houston Region, to recognize our major donors and sponsors of Scouting, to introduce individuals and companies to the impact of Scouting, and to solicit their financial support for Scouting programs in the greater Houston region.  

Your attendance is important and appreciated, and we encourage attendees to bring friends, colleagues, and clients to learn more about the state of Scouting in the Houston region and to support Scouting's mission financially.

Parking

Parking can be found in the Avenida North Garage - Houston. The garage is connected to the north end of the George R. Brown Convention Center and Marriott Marquis Hotel, as part of Partnership Tower. Entrances for the garage can be found on both Capitol St. (going north) and Rusk St. (going south).

SHACThe Sam Houston Area Council serves approximately 28,000 youth in 16 counties in Southeast Texas through dedicated service and leadership of approximately 10,000 adult volunteers. Scouting is completely funded by the generosity of those that believe in its mission.

The purpose of the council is to guide and support its districts for the achievement of the movement’s purpose. Councils establish policies and programs. Districts carry out the policies and programs in their respective territories. Your support of Scouting provides programs, services, professional support, as well as year-round outdoor programs - all designed to lead youth to lifelong values, service and achievement.
