Welcome to Sam Houston Area Council

The Sam Houston Area Council serves approximately 25,000 youth in 16 counties in Southeast Texas through dedicated service and leadership of approximately 10,000 adult volunteers. Scouting is completely funded by the generosity of those that believe in its mission.

Mission Lone Star

Mission Lone Star is a high adventure program for older Scouts attending winter camp and summer camp. This exciting program includes a trip to NASA, ATV riding, zip lining, primitive camping on the Lone Star Trail, and more.
